| Night in the Past/Playground Dedication |
We had a wonderful turnout for our Night in the Past/Playground Dedication last night, with over 60 people coming to celebrate! The night started with a light dinner, ice cream and social time (play time for the kids!) , followed by the history presentation in the sanctuary. Then everyone headed back outside for a prayer over the playground and more ice cream. The weather was perfect. Thank you to everyone who attended! |

Our new laptop for our Audio Video setup came in yesterday. I'm hoping to have it ready by this Sunday but only time will tell.
A Special THANKS to the Hearts & Hands Group, T.G.I.F. Group, and all the personal donations that were made to raise the funds needed. |

| Vacation Bible School Day 3 |

Vacation Bible School Day 3 the last day. We had a total of 17 kids show up. They all sang songs together and then the preschool aged kids headed off while the rest began their third bible lesson. We had a rearranged schedule due to the parents program. Both groups took time for recreation and crafts. Then snack time was ice cream with the parents as they watched a slide show of the three day's events.

| Vacation Bible School Day 1 |

Vacation Bible School Day 1 went well (despite it being VERY rainy). The title of this year's VBS is "The Lord's Army". We had 12 kids show up the first day. They signed up for the The Lords Army and then received their Dog Tags. They each proposed a name for our Soldier (Sam was the name chosen). Then the preschool aged kids headed off while the rest began their first bible lesson. Both groups met up again for snacks. Then off to crafts and recreation time. They ended the first day with a moment of prayer.

On March 20, 2008 T.G.I.F.'s Project Manna families came to pick up their items. During the months of January through March the church had donated household cleaning items, health care items and non-perishable food items. Project Manna served 6 families this year. Each family received three boxes of the above donated items. One of T.G.I.F.'s goals was to provide these families with a nice Easter meal. To accomplish that we provided the families with a half of a ham, a bag of potatoes, a bag of baby carrots, a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs and some fresh fruit and snacks. Each family also received a children's Bible and an invitation to the church for Easter services. Hearts & Hands donated money to buy each child a new Fairview shirt, Those shirts will be delivered this week. The shirts were a huge success as each child was excited to be getting one. One family even commented on how it would be exciting to have a new T-shirt to wear to school. We want to thank the congregation for helping to make these families Easter's a little bit happier! |
